Wainwright's Lake District Walks
The name of Alfred Wainwright is for many very nearly synonymous with the Lake District. Wainwright's "Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells", originally issued between 1955 and 1966, can be found on the shelves of countless ethusiasts for Lake District walking. As the updated 2nd editions they are still today used on Lake District walking trips. This latest web site is devoted exclusively to Wainwright books. In addition to the Guides it features quite a lot of his other volumes and several books and DVDs written about him.
